[The marble is uncovered to show a tall, lofty room that clearly used to be an elven treehouse but has been altered by the new residents, mostly to fit shorter residents and to generally fix what was broken. Tuuri smiles into the feed, and then waves for good measure.
The attentive watcher might notice that she is rather underdressed for the sudden cold, wearing short sleeves and looking more energetic than anyone might have seen her since the heat started.]
So I've been digging around because I wanted to see what happened, and I could find a bit. I found a couple of journals in this language that we suddenly mysteriously speak - they generally talk about a growing darkness and that they don't know what will happen in the future.
Does anyone know if this could be some kind of specific darkness, or if they're referring to the amount of light, or...? It sounded rather like it is more than just that.
They also described that there's chaos and people in general seemed to be pretty pessimistic...
And then [she holds up an old, jewel encrusted tome that has a small inscription in Khuzdul on the front] I found this, but I can't read it - is there someone here who can?
And this. [She puts down the tome and holds up another text instead, this one in Sindarin.] Same thing, is there anyone who can read it? It has nice illustrations, too, I think it's about some kind of plant [she holds it so that a drawing of kingsfoil/athelas comes into view] but I've never seen that one. Sadly the little library that it came from is completely destroyed otherwise, water damage and similar things.
If anyone has found any other historical or personal records, please show me them! I'm a skald, so this is kind of my speciality. [That reminds her.] I'm also a mechanic, so if you need help with something mechanical, I can take a look, now that the temperatures are liveable again....

[He comes closer, peering in nosily.] The weather's great, everyone should come and play!

Date: 2015-06-17 03:09 pm (UTC)We should build a snowhouse! Or a snowperson, or we could have a snowball fight...
And maybe the pond will be frozen over firmly enough to skate on it come tomorrow, I'm sure we can find something to use as skates.
Anyone can join! ...And if you know anything about the texts, contact me - just call my name, I'll be around for a while. See you!
[She waves again, and Finland joins her in that, wishing them goodbye as well.
Then a box is placed over the marble, blocking all light but still allowing most sounds to drift through, if a bit muffled. The two Finns continue talking animatedly, though they now speak Finnish instead of Westron and aren't understandable anymore.]
